This camp is designed for highly imaginative minds. Creators will learn how to develop unique fantasy creatures that range from funky fairies to three-headed mice, or even carnivorous plants having duels with spaghetti bowls!  There will never be a dull moment in this inventive and highly creative environment.

In addition to fostering creativity, the curriculum will focus on

• Highbred design

• Character and Costume design

Students should bring a snack for the day, water (please no soda, boba or sticky sugary drinks), and a sketchbook (optional). We will be offering some light snacks - please let us know if your child has a serious allergy or health issues we should be aware of. Aprons will be available for messy projects, but we encourage students to wear clothes that they are not too attached to.

The mission of our summer program is to create a safe, fun and relaxing environment for students to grow, make friends and learn extensively about art. It is crucial for the school to create a space where everyone is welcomed, feels safe and supported. Any of our summer classes may offer: games, social time and relationship building, short video tutorials, media entertainment, prizes and treats, social and emotional support, books or time to relax.

This  camp will have more of a  workshop environment. Artists will learn facial anatomy by studying the skull and applying concepts of shading, color, emotional depth and facial expression. We will also focus on human anatomy, covering proportions and techniques for capturing body language, shading and movement.

Students may work with a variety of mediums based on their individual experience and preference.

While this camp is recommended for experienced artists, it is open to students of all skill levels. Each participant will receive individual guidance tailored to their unique progress and experience as a visual artist.

Students are encouraged to explore genres they feel driven to explore and grow their understanding of, ranging from oil painting portraits and illustrations to comics and D&D-style art and much more!

In this painting camp/workshop participants will focus on essential oil painting techniques, including understanding tone and shadows, warm and cool colors, complementary color mixing, mood, movement, and composition.

During the first few days, we will work together in a follow-along style. For the remainder of the week, each student will have the opportunity to create original artwork of their own choosing.
