In this creative camp students are invited to tap into their imagination by merging it with elements of nature, mythical lore and true animal anatomy. By mashing together the realistic with the fantastical students will gain skills in creating new creatures or animals that enjoy everyday human activities such as sipping tea while wearing a bowl gown! Students are encouraged to find the humorous and sometimes odd world around them for inspiration. Materials used include: color pencils, pen and ink, watercolors and pastels.

In this painting camp emphasis will be placed on how to use acrylic paints, color theory, composition, contrast and personal voice. The first few days students will all paint the same subject together in a follow along style instruction. In the second half of the camp they will venture out and paint what they wish after having acquired new skills in their artistic tool belt.

In this very exciting art camp artists will learn how to create their own monsters and mischievous characters by acquiring an understanding of scale, perspective, sketching, character design and emotional expression, movement and action. Also, students will learn about the history of the Kaiju and the mythology behind Yokai. Watch out for toasters chasing buttery steaming toast or giant orange cats who loudly stomp around watching as a village of farmer mice scatter! Yikes!

In this super fun camp artists will learn amazing character design techniques from master animator and storyteller Hayao Miazaki and creator of Studio Ghibli. Students can recreate loveable characters from iconic films, books and comics, or learn how to design their own characters in chibi, anime or Kawaii style with nature scape backgrounds. Emphasis is placed on correct manga anatomy, proportions, and emotional expression using pen and ink, color pencils or watercolors.

In this art camp for students aged 10 and up students are invited to tap into their imagination by combining it with elements of nature, mythical lore and true animal anatomy. By merging together the realistic with the fantastical artists will gain skills in creating new creatures that no human has ever witnessed, anything from winged flying lizards to mermaids with purple hair, or magical bewitched amphibians.. Only your imagination will set the limit! Materials include: color pencils, pen and ink, watercolors, acrylic paints, and pastels.

In this art camp for artists ages 10 and up students will gain fundamental and classical techniques of the old masters in understanding anatomy, proportions, the human head and hands. Emphasis will be placed on shading, sketching and personal voice. There will be a clothed model for some of the classes.

In this painting art workshop for students ages 10 and up students will all work together on the same art pieces for the first two days giving everyone a chance to get acquainted with this magical yet complicated medium. As they develop a deeper understanding of how this medium works artists will work on individually chosen art pieces and delve into color theory, light and shadows, textures, composition and harmony.
